Nekeyta Brunson founded UnCovered LLC in 2015 after her daughter told her, “Mom, I just saw a lady with no hair. She looked beautiful…you can do it too!
Before this, Nekeyta had been living in secrecy about her hair loss due to Alopecia. A secret she protected at all costs.
Ultimately Nekeyta chose to accept her hair loss and have confidence in who she was. She realized that she could either hide and live a life of fear and anxiety, or she could show her daughters and the world that it was okay to love yourself exactly as you are.

During her personal journey, It became clear that there was a need for a process to help women who were anxious about their changing appearance. She started working with women experiencing hair loss, but that expanded to women who were struggling to feel beautiful for many reasons.
Nekeyta immersed herself in all things beauty and fashion. She became an Esthetician at the Aveda Institute. She began to partner with people in the community to speak on natural beauty and confidence and opened the UnCovered Beauty Studio.

Today, UnCovered Beauty serves a diverse clientele of women through beauty treatments and confidence coaching. Nekeyta and her team remain passionate about helping clients achieve their skin and beauty goals by keeping up with the latest research and trends in the natural and organic field. Staying close to their roots, they also help women who are struggling with loving themselves find confidence either through 1:1 coaching, wardrobe consultation or just being a buddy to lift them up in public.
